Privacy policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

OpticVerdict is an independently operated optics publisher. We respect your privacy and keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site. This page explains, in plain terms, what we collect, why, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, contact us.

Information we collect

How we use information

To operate and improve our guides, understand which content helps readers, respond to your messages, and keep the site secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising or retargeting profiles.

Third parties

When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network (for example OpticsPlanet or MaxBounty) may set its own cookie to attribute a referral, under its own privacy policy. Our analytics provider processes aggregate usage data on our behalf. We share data only as needed to run these services or where required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR/UK GDPR and California's CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because we hold very little personal data, the fastest way to exercise a right is to contact us and we will help. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention, children and transfers

We keep aggregate analytics for as long as it is useful and retain emails only as long as needed to handle your request. This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Our services may process data on servers outside your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top. Questions? Contact us.
